Blacked out jag with Blue Cali plates and a chevy V8

This Jag was the pet project of our local Lotus aficionado. It was his "Sunday cruiser" as he put it. The man had 6 amazing classic lotus cars and he sold us this one as he downsized and moved to the foothills. The car started right up after an extended dormancy. The Jag always starts and isn't loud and obnoxious, it sounds rather sedate. I drove it 6 miles across town on an early Sunday and the ride was pleasant. The car is docile in traffic and runs out nicely when you need it. The car shifts hard and then off you go. It takes a while to catch top gear, you may need a fluid change and an adjustment. The brakes stop the car well. They seem to be overmatched at times and I would look at that also. You have to press the pedal harder than expected. If you've driven anything that had some cajones, you should be able to handle it.
The paint job shines very well and it won't disappoint the cuties at the coffee shoppe. The car has a presence and it's hard to place the era. It looks newer than it is with the black out treatment. It has a CARB sticker on it, so the engine swap was approved here in California. This cat really needs room to stretch its legs so if youre going to be stuck in traffic all the time, you may want to add an electric fan to stay cool. The temp will creep up at a long stoplight. We bought this car to get a screaming deal on an engine for our lotus. Now after bringing this one back to running condition we are ready to pass it on to there next enthusiast.
