Tempero Tribute of the Legendary 1955 Jaguar D-Type hand built by Tempero Coach & Motor Company of New Zealand, this car one of 24 produced for Alan Holmes at Fine Sports Cars in San Diego, CA for resale in the US. Same collector owned for the last 17 years with only 3,068 miles since build. Finished in British Racing Green with Green Leather, absolutely stunning in every detail. All aluminum custom crafted body, and aluminum side accents make this D-Type an exceedingly rare examples in North America. In the 1980s, the Tempero Automobile Company of South Ireland, New Zealand began limited production of new D-Types, faithfully based on the original design. Without compromise, Tempero created all-new central monocoques, front subframes with upgraded suspension and brakes. Correct wooden bucks were constructed to which dedicated artisans fitted hand-made alloy panels, faithfully replicating what many consider to be some of the most authentic and superior recreations ever produced.

Prime specimens of original D-Types command prices well into the eight to ten figure range, making this D-Type tribute very attractive for touring and concours events. This D-Type styled after the “short nose” D-Type also includes Dunlop alloy peg drive knock-off wheels, spare tire, correct Green leather seating, seat belts, adjustable coil suspension, disc brakes, aluminum radiator, oil and coolant sumps.
