1967 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Coupe. A series 1 matching numbers car. 4 speed manual. Correct 4.2 engine and SU carburettors. Same owner for 30 years!
Here's your chance to own a collectible marque at an affordable price point.
Engine Starts. The 4 speed manual (all synchro) gearbox shifts smoothly. 4 good Vredestein tires, no broken spokes on original rims. Headlights, turn signals, hazard flashers work. New Heater Fan motor.
The rear main seal drips
There is some bubbling in the Paint.
I recommend the new owner transport the car professionally, Buyer must arrange for transport.
Prior to my ownership, someone swapped the original series 1 bonnet for a series 1-1/2. I added series 1 headlight diaphragms and sugar scoops and headlight glass. Paul Skilleter and Dr. Haddock indicate the car number is a closed headlight car. (1E76873)
Clean clear Indiana title in my name
Car listed locally – I have the right to end the auction early.
Selling due to lack of time, and other life interests.
Keep in mind, this car is 50+ years old, I never did rebuild the engine, to my knowledge the car has not had an engine overhaul. The discriminating buyer knows this car is worthy of a full restoration
You have seen what is being asked for non-running donor cars where an engine might only “turn over”. Here, the new owner will have some idea of what they are starting with.
2000 Non-refundable desposit due within 48 hours of auction close.
Buyer must arrange for transport. I do not arrange for transport or shipment
91,956 miles, acutal mileage at time of sale may be different due to test drives, etc.
