1992 Jaguar XJS Additional Info:
I purchased the car in August 2014 as a driver/project car. I recently purchased a new mustang convertible and now preparing to move out of state.
Since purchasing it I had the radiator removed boiled out and all the cooling hoses replaced. The transmission was flushed and mounts replaced. The distributor cap, spark plug wires, air filters, alternator, and Battery replaced. New tires put on. Along with a ton of other little things
Most of the work was done by Gulfstream Jaguar in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She runs and drives so smooth!!
I have done alot, but the car still needs work... Here is a list everything I know needs attention.
The top motor works, but leaks (likely needs a seal kit). We just put it up and down manually.
The A/C was converted to R134-a and filled by Kel's Auto Air in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The blower motors weren't blowing hard. So the A/C system needs attention
The car was experiencing a charging issue, so the alternator was replaced by Gulfstream Jaguar, but I haven't driven it more than 10-15 mins away from the house to confirm the issue was corrected.
There are some rust spots, dings and scratches on the car. It looks presentable from 20 feet away, but needs body work and paint.
The passenger floorboard needs reinforced or replaced, please view the videos and pics.
The interior needs redone. I purchased replacement seats and door panels along with Leatherique to replace the current ones. The leatherique process needs completed and the pieces need to be installed, but will be included with the car. These are from a few year older XJS so some adaption might be needed.
The power steering pump has a leak somewhere.
I was told by Gulfstream Jaguar that one of the oil pressure sensors needs replaced.
I'm sure there are a few other little things, the car is a 24 year old jaguar. Most XJS in this price range haven't seen a mechanic in years, so I think the price is fair, but I am open to all offers. In pristine shape these cars bring 20k.
I have done my best to describe everything to the best of my ability, but you as a buyer should still perform your own due diligence, Message me to setup an inspection or ask any additional questions. I am selling the car is as-is.
As I am preparing to move I don't have the time and effort to deal with non-payment buyers, so an immediate deposit of $500 required, balance due within 3 business days via paypal or cash in-person or deposit will be forfeited and the item put backup forsale. The car should be removed from my property within 7 business days.
