1988 Jaguar XJS XJ-SC Additional Info:

1988 JaguarXJ-SC V12. One North Carolinaowner from new until 2012, when it was purchased by an automotive manufacturer here in Michigan, whom I purchased it from. Silver over Blue leather with elm wood and black targa/convertible top.
The Jaguar XJ-SC is a successor to the Jaguar XKE Series III using the new V-12 engine. Conceived as a long-legged Grand Cabriolet built on the XJ-12 platform, the XJ-SC is a truly unique automobile. With one or both of the targa panels removed, it assumes the configuration of a targa convertible, and with the rear top panel removed, this car becomes an elegant cabriolet. The Jaguar XJ-SC was produced from 1982 to April, 1988. A total of 5,013 cabriolets were built, 3,861 with the V-12 engine and only 1,973 were shipped to the United States.
Original paint 9/10 with no cracks or fading at all, chrome is 9/10, wheels are in great condition, has both hard and soft tops. Original tool kit, spare, books and some records and both sets of keys. Zero rust, car has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse since it was shipped here from NC.
It needs a detail, interior is dusty, but the leather has no wear or cracks at all. The car had notbeen started in4 years prior to me purchasing it, butI drained the fuel checked all plugs and wires, checked and topped the oil, replaced the battery and itdoes run and drive. Brakes are soft. Once detailed and tuned up price will reflect it. These odd balls are becoming very collectible. Maybe 8 XJ-SC'sfor sale in the U.S. right now from what I could find, own this one for half the others. 57,771 miles, with documentation to support it. It is for sale locally.
May 5th, gave her a bath tonight, and added after photos. Only used car wash soad and micro fiber towels, and wiped down the interior with armorall leather cleaning and conditioning wipes. She cleaned up beautifully.
May 7th, I filled the tank with premiumand noticed that the fuel gage needle didn't move, I would guess that the float is stuck.
