1971 Jaguar E-Type Additional Info:

You are looking at a rare car....45 years old and only driven 12K miles! I know mileage to be accurate as I purchased the car from the widow of the original owner (older gentleman and friend of my father) who drove car on special occasions and stored it indoors. It had been sitting for many years and only required a new battery, carb cleaning and fresh fuel to run. I drove car on weekends that summer ...then I stored it in my garage for the next 11 years until I decided I had to unload some of my toys and take a break.
I refreshed the fuel, gave a tune-up (mouse chewed plug wires), and stole a battery from my other xke to get it running.
Then replaced the rotted exhaust, put 4 new tires on stainless steel spoke wheels, replaced all engine hoses, and changed oil.
I store all my cars with open containers of peppermint oil on the floors (buy it in gallon jugs) so mouse damage limited to under hood (later I started putting containers under hood as well)
Car can be driven as is....... with that magical sound and smoothness that only 12 cylinders (with 12K miles) can produce.
Body is SOLID with only minor rust starting on doors- dime size hole in pass door(both door defects pictured), carpet should be replaced and driver seat covering is bad(picture) Paint is as old as car so it is faded.
Two dents on hood from inexperienced mechanic working on car for original owner - improper lifting(picture) All body rubber is rotted- windshield leaks if you drive in rain (car almost never saw rain)(see picture)
Please inspect carefully and ask questions--- then bid with confidence!!
p.s. ebay required a title description....car will be sold with bill of sale only(CT. destroys older vehicle titles when registering....I did not know they did this until after the fact)
