OWNERSHIP HISTORY:
Dr. J R Ingram, Purchased this car new in Tulsa Oklahoma from Wilkerson Tulsa Dealer. Thenshortly after, he traded it into a car lot, where Mr.Shirley purchased the car
Mr. Shirley was an electrical engineer in the US Navy, upon his return hepurchased thisJaguar E type from a car dealer in Tulsa Oklahoma- The original dealer plaque is still on the back on the car! along with itsoriginallicense plate. Mr.Shirley enjoyed the car, but eventually called back into duty..... the car sat at his parents home while he was deployed, until his youngerbrother decided he wanted to purchase the car. His younger brother purchased the car and took over the car loan ( awhopping $90.00 a month) and drove it for about 6 months before blowing a head gasket. upon Mr. Shirleys return to Oklahoma, he found out about the head gasket issue, and his youngerbrothers inabilityto repair it, and decided to take back the car. He began to disassemble the engine, taking off the head, pistons ETC. and then stalled, where it sat, outside un touched for over 20 years. Until now.
As you can see, the car has rust, but the structure is not bad, the floors and sills will need attention. the spare tire areais not bad, and the body itself is actually pretty solid, the bonnet is in great shape also.Windshield was broken by some kids, was well as the passenger light glass cover.
I will add a photo of the engine ASAP.
