The Impulse is rare, as it was produced in very low numbers, totaling around 13,000 units throughout all modelyears (1980-90) . It is said that only 2,300 registered units were known in 2010. A collector’s item just by those numbers.
The car comes with a clean Oklahoma title, it is NOT RUNNING, with one cylinder has low compression and the turbo dissasembled. Interior is dirty but near complete, body is straight, minimal rust on underneath and on muffler. Electronics work, not sure on AC, car hasnt run in a few years.
Comes with its shop manual and a replacement OEM turbo - will need new tires. has all original wheels
NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP BY MAY 5TH IF PURCHASED
The Isuzu Impulse is considered today to be one of the rarest 80's era automobiles. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, namedCar Designer of the Centuryin1999 and inducted into theAutomotive Hall of Famein2002. He has anamazing resume of work, including the BMW M1, the Ferrari 250 GT, the De Tomaso Mangusta, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, the DMC DeLorean and the Lotus Esprit S1. His accomplishments in design are enormous and one would do well to research them.
The clean wedge shape ofthe Impulse is largely unadorned, with flush glass and cleverly hidden seams. The hood wraps around atop the fenders and helps form a body-length character line; the A-pillar is rendered invisible by the leading edge of the full-framed door.
Inside, the instrument cluster adjusted with the steering column, and featured a pair of pods, locatedwithin fingers’ reach from the steering wheel, that incorporated lights, wipers, and more.
The Impulse was marketed as "everything standard’ (SE), meaning that they allcame with all available equipment for the vehicle's model year. These include air conditioning, power windows and door locks, four-wheel disc brakes, and (14x6)“waffle” alloy wheels.Additional equipment includes pop-up headlamps, clothupholstery, an AM/FM/Cassette radio with 7-band analog equalizer, cruise control, and more.
