1964 International Harvester Scout 800 Additional Info:
Beautifully restored International Scout 800. The Scout was introduced as an answer to the Jeep. The Scout was a more refined version and is recognized as the first SUV. The Scout features clean lines with a rugged stance. I have owned this vehicle for the last five trouble free years. The engine starts quick and idles smooth. The three speed transmission shifts well and provides a nice compliment to the slant four engine. The radio is a modern retro upgrade. The only issue with this vehicle is that the speedometer does not function. Other then that she is a reliable truck with nothing needed to immediately enjoy. I have simply run out of room in the garage and most let this vehicle go. The paint shows beautifully and is well accented by the white center console and the bright white hard top. I have enjoyed this vehicle as a Sunday driver on sunny summer days. I have yet to see a more attractive Scout on the market. The original paint combination coupled with a slight body lift and safari tires really make this Scout a rugged looking head turner. Bid with confidance on this low reserve classic.
