For sale is our 1978 International Scout 2 Special Edition. We purchased Scout a few years ago and drove to Colorado to pick it up. The engine is a 392 V8, the largest engine that International Scout installed during these years. The engine is seized up due to sitting and it appears moisture was able to get into the motor. We knew this when we bought it and had every intention to unlock the engine and begin bringing the vehicle back to life and it is sitting in storage as you can see in the photos. The body and chassis are in good shape and it will be a great Scout with a little time. It has been lifted and has larger tires and very nice wheels. The interior is cluttered with the spare parts such as a stock hood replacement (someone cut a vent in the current hood installed) roll bar, front bumper and new side windows for the topper that having sliding glass instead of the currently installed fixed side windows. Tail gate is in great shape as is all the glass. The motor is complete and with a little work, this will be an exceptional International Scout 2. We simply do not have the time due to some changes and it has sat since we brought it home so we would like to find someone who would appreciate as much as we do and have the time to dedicate to it.
These Scouts are getting harder to find and have jumped up in pricing considerably in the past 10 years. Thank you for your interest.
