1947 IHC KB5/Like KB1
Here is another beautiful old Kansas farm truck. Nearly rust free (only a spot on driver floor)and it starts, runs, and moves under its own power! This one has a 13ft PTO driven hydraulic dump bed that works. Here is a link to the YouTube video of it running and operating(https://www.youtube.com/shorts/R96TyTzTDyw)or go to YouTube and search Cort's -47 KB5.
This truck has a great patina, and it is very complete. The chrome strips on the grille usually get loose and fall off over time - but these are all there. I have not messed with the brakes - but the hand brake works pretty well. The truck is running out of its own fuel tank with an electric fuel pump, but I would recommend a good fuel system cleaning. The engine sounds good, doesn't smoke or make any bad noises, and the transmission shifts through all the gears. Overall this is a wonderful project is already running and moving under its own power. With a few weekends and evenings, a novice mechanic should be able to have it parade ready! This truck is located in Great Bend, KS. I am fine with it staying until you figure out transportation - which I can help with if needed. It comes with a good, clean, open Kansas title.
