Well cared for, serviced throughout the years as needed and kept in meticulous shape as you can see by pics and videos.Body is VERY CLEAN with pretty nice paint overall as shown. Some fading on hood with a few scratches and tiny chips here and there. Sides look beautiful and there is NO RUST on rockers, bottom of doors, wheel arches, bottom of fenders or bottom rear quarters. Doors open and close beautifully and all gaps are very nice. The only rust is a few tiny specks on front lip of hood and below grille, as well as a few bubbles on the hardtop. The 345 C8 under the hood starts right up and idles great, a bit cold natured so will need a minute or so to warm up on cold days. Transmission shifts nice and smooth, brakes work well although pedal is a little spongy but doesn't leak any fluid. You can GET IN AND DRIVE THIS CAR HOME ANYWHERE. It rides nicely and it's not all over the place like a lot of these older Scouts. Very smooth and gentle ride.Interior is SPECTACULAR for being original. Everything is as it came from the factory. NO rips in the seats, carpet still shows well, door panels look very nice, only a few cracks on the dash, which is typical on these. Even the inside headliner and hard top linings are in great shape. Even has original spare and rubber matting for cargo area. I'VE NEVER SEEN AN INTERIOR THIS NICE ON A SCOUT and i've owned dozens of them.Underside is BEAUTIFUL and virtually rust free. NO big gaping holes. Body mounts still look to be in good shape and solid. Floorboards and braces still intact. Nice and dry under there. Inner wheelhouses are beautiful. Whoever owned this car really took care of it.Overall a SPECTACULAR older 1979 Scout II with great options including AIR CONDITIONING, even has the original smog equipment all intact. 24K miles and the interior looks it without a doubt. GET IN IT AND DRIVE IT!Obviously it's not absolutely perfect, but it's as nice as you can get for an older Scout II without spending a fortune.
