This project was listed and supposedly sold several months ago but the buyer wasn't able to complete the deal.
I have decided to abandon this project and shift to something else after many years invested.I started with 2 Scouts, saved the best then scoured NM, CO and AZ for the best parts I could find. The sheet metal is all new Lite-Line production purchased through IH Parts America.
The body had the usual amount of rust for Scouts but was amazingly straight and accurate. It is partially blasted for welding and ready to go back together. I chose to buy all the panels I could get instead of patching rust spots.
The "jig" that the body tub is mounted on was spec built to the original frame. It has castors, leveling feet, and removable tongue and axle for portability. It's super solid and easy to "true up" for construction.
The removable laser level was/is used to document all dimensions prior to cutting apart. All dimensions are documented and come with the project as well as the laser level.
Included also is most all (and some duplicates) of small parts; interior, lighting, dash, 2 sets of gauges, steering columns, original wiring, dash, trims, exterior small parts, etc. etc.
Everything shown is included in the sale and it has a clean NM title.
The only hassle is that this must be picked up on site, it's far too much to crate and ship commercially. It will require a truck and trailer or a decent sized U-haul type truck.I will provide any needed loading assistance but will not build crates for an LTL type shipment. I do have boxes ready for the small parts.
Anyone that knows Scouts will appreciate the amount of investment in parts. There's more in just the new sheet metal than the listing price. I am limited for shop and storage space and would like to get this moved soon. Hence the low opening bid price.
Pickup must be completed within a month of the end of the auction.
Note that there is no frame/chassis, it is body and associated parts only.
Please ask any questions before bidding.
Thanks for your interest.
