Blemishes include a crack in the finish on the drivers forward corner of the hood crease, some stains around the passenger fog lamp, and some minor chips along the inner edge of the passenger rear wheel well. Overall, very clean. Body is nice and straight, with no dents or dings. Flat grey suits the truck very well and is complemented by the black 20” XD Monster wheels and knobby 35” Mastercraft tires. Headlights have been upgraded to LED angel eyes, and LED fog lights and light bar are integrated into the heavy-duty custom steel front bumper. Lights and signals are all clear and crack-free. Sliding windows have been installed up front. Hardtop is bolted on and can be removed. Dimple die exoskeleton-style roll cage hints at the fact that this is not your average Scout. This truck has dual Tailgunner exhaust tips, which spin like a Gatling Gun as the truck runs.
Interior:
Dark grey Bestop front buckets and rear bench are close to new, and there are seatbelts for two in the rear. Interior is nice and simple, very to the point. This truck has been fitted with an R134a air conditioning system, a serious Pioneer sound system with dual 8” subs in the rear, and new AutoMeter gauges. Odometer reads 7,113 miles and is presumed to be accurate mileage since the build was completed. Very much consistent with condition. Fan/heat/AC are all functional, stereo sounds great. Interior is rounded out by a beautiful billet aluminum Precision Performance Powershifter, which allows for manual selection of first and second gear (climbing, crawling, towing, etc), and full automatic. While this is clearly an off-road-oriented vehicle, it can absolutely be enjoyed on the road, so long as you can handle a bit of noise. Solid motor mounts were swapped out in favor of polyurethane units, which helped a bit with refinement, but this is of course still a raw, diesel 4x4.
Underbody/Under the Hood:
Please take a look at the underbody photos, as the truck is documented in detail. This thing is built to a high standard and looks killer underneath. Dana 44 axles front and rear, a custom all leaf lift kit, and front disc brakes that were just rebuilt last year. Rock guards are fitted under both rockers, and with the short wheelbase of the Scout, this truck has some serious clearance. Engine is a VM Motori 77B/4, a 2.8L Turbodiesel four cylinder. Power output is impressive considering the relatively small size. The intake noise and massive torque make this truck a blast off the line. Transfer case is an NP208, transmission is a Ford AOD, renowned for their robustness and longevity.
This is a seriously cool, seriously capable hot-rod Scout that has been finished to a high level. Buy with confidence! If you have further questions, please email me at ninja-07@live.com
