1970 International Harvester Scout Additional Info:
She may not win any beauty pageants but she will certainly get you there. If you are looking for a nice running and driving, first generation scout then this is your truck. If you are looking to win car shows, then this is not your truck... but, with a little elbow grease and some paint it wouldn't take much to build a 40-50K truck and its the perfect one to start with. It has the big V8(304) with a 4 speed on the floor and in 1970 IH upgraded to a Dana 44 rear axle and a Dana 20 transfer case. These were big upgrades for Scouts.
Body: This truck is solid. It is not the prettiest paint job but it is SOLID. It is a born and raised Colorado truck that has been driven on the farm most of its life and not on salty roads and highways.
Mechanical: It runs and drives really well. The carb was recently rebuilt which made a huge difference. The transmission shifts well and 4wd works like it should. All of the lights, blinkers, etc are in working condition.
Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions. If you are interested in having us restore this scout please message or call. I am happy to take a running and driving video if needed.
