1955 International Harvester R130 Additional Info:
1955 International R-130 Pickup Truck
This is a pretty clean and solid IHC cornbinder pickup. 1-ton long wheelbase, single rear wheel. The motor runs real nice and purrs. This was last owned by an older gentleman. It has a lot of old-timer add-ons and mods that are kind-of neat and quirky. Thanks and happy bidding. Feel free to ask questions.
BODY
The body is very dry and solid. The truck came from high desert country. The only rust-through is on the drivers side rear cab corner. It's hard to see in the pics but it's there. The drivers front-fender had bodywork at some point. I don't see any rust and I can see the inside of that area from underneath. The body has some dings/dents. Nothing too major. The doors and hood operate as they should and latch fine. The tailgate too. The camper wood needs a lot of work/restoration. It looks cool, but if you don't want it I can take it off. The truck has the nickname "short stroke", which is painted on the camper. Triple tail lights too lol.
MECHANICAL
This cornbinder has the inline six cylinder. I'm pretty sure it's the Silver Diamond 220. The truck runs nice and starts right up. It has an electric fuel pump. The engine doesn't smoke, tick, or knock. The transmission works perfectly. It's a 4-speed with granny low and reverse. The truck needs a master cylinder. I just use the hand brake to drive it around here. These have an emergency brake that is actually a drum type brake on the output side of the transmission. They work very well. The master cylinders are readily available, I just didn't get to it. The fuel tank will need to be pulled and the pickup tube taken out and cleaned. It is plugged with old gas. It is running on a temporary tank now just for moving and loading it. Besides that, the only other thing I know it needs is tires. These old style tires and about bullet-proof but they don't drive very good. You could use them though if you want. Overall, it needs some mechanical work but nothing major. It's been off the highway for a few years. I'd do the plugs/wires/filters/fluids/belts also, just to be thorough.
INTERIOR
The seat is in good condition. Seat is comfortable. The dash isn't cutup. Seat cover is in ok condition. Floormat is in good shape. Dash are is clean. CB. It's real basic, clean, and in good shape. I can't think of anything else that the pics won't show. It's got a curved dash which is cool too
This is a 64 year old classic, sold as-is.
