1969 International Harvester Scout Additional Info:
Here is the story on the Scout. It has been in Southern California its whole life except the last 3 years.
This Scout is extremely solid, no rust! 4 cyl engine runs very well, brakes, clutch, 4x4 etc... good. Even the emergency brake works.Has power steering, and part of the air conditioning is still there.
Paint is not original, but still looks ok. The weatherstripping is pretty much shot. This is a nice truck to drive as is, or perfect candidate to restore, NO RUST! and not dented up too bad. Frame, floor boards excellent!Tires are like newThis is a very heavy duty Scout!Misc gauges and lights might not all work, but was used the last few years as a summer toy in Northern Michigan. The Scout has a rare 3/4 ton 8 lug axle. The front has military style closed knuckle. It was originally used at a trailer manufacturing plant to move the trailers around the yard. Nice small compact heavy duty vehicle, there was a Goose neck style hitch in the bed. I was told the miles are original but no way to confirm for sure. Please feel free to call if serious, 586-419-4196
