1978 IH scout II ... runs goo, strong moto, stops good, ,, got too many other interests .. this is inspected and ready to drive .
heres the bad andyou can make a decision from here
1 - rust in places but its confined to body parts, not frame ... can restore or drive as is.
2- I add some tranny fluid when it gets low -- it has leaked since ive ownwd 5 +yrs ago .. I just add when needed and it drives fine
3- hot crank issue sometimes -- I haven't figured it ou, ,,, when it does I just use a wrench to touch solenoid post and it starts right up... it may not do it for months and then it ll happen.???
4- tires are o, they hold air - but it needs new ones
5- have 2 tops - neither very good
that's about it - there is way more good -- the motor runs strong and it doesn't leak any oil whatsoever...ive never been stranded with this old scout.
interior is ok - driver seat ripped. the dash and 8 track player look exc . all electronics work including the clock
ac works - doesn't blow cold ---- never messed with it. heater works.
like mentioned -- its inspected and I drive it all over the place. for 78 its solid scout to drive or restore.
