1970 International Harvester Scout 800 Additional Info:
1970 Scout 800. Overall in pretty good shape. I know these trucks are prone to rust. This one needs floor repaired on passenger side, thats the major, but minor on the rest of the underside. The motor runs great, starts right up but needs carb rebuilt, spits untill it gets good and warm. I put over $500 into making it run. Gone through the brakes, installed a new radiator, fuel pump, water pump, hoses, points cap wires and plugs, alternator, and new battery. The wheels are 15"×10" and have 10.50×31 tires. They will get you by for off road but not highway use, wouldn't trust them. The snow plow does not go with the auction, I will be offering that separate, to the winner first then listing it if they don't want it. I have other things too like a rear seat and roll bars that fits an 800. In summery this Scout is a solid start for a restoration or as i used it on my farm, perfect as is. :) The manual transmission is great as well as the transfer case. In the pic of the dash, i had it pulled out to do some wire chasin, left it out due to its hard to fit back in and thought i might need to get back in? Wouldn't be selling it but i need concrete in my barn, thanks and good luck.
