1957 International Harvester "Golden Jubilee" Anniversary Edition Additional Info:
NO RESERVE! Only 5 Day Auction! Highest Bidder Wins Truck! RARE Truck. This International Harvester anniversary edition pickup was made on June 12, 1957 and sold to the Seattle, WA dealer. From the information I have gathered over the years they say that less than 75 of these anniversary edition pickups are left in existence. In October 2009 one sold for $52,500 on Mecum and that is a documented sale. I have yet to see others. This truck was International Harvester's way to compete with the Chevy Cameo and Dodge Sweptline of that time. It has the original 220ci six cylinder engine and 3sp. manual transmission (3 on the tree). Has not been ran since 2010 and was parked due to the brake master cylinder and prior to that only used around the property. I am unaware of the current mechanical condition. This truck is considered a project and will need to be trailered but appears to be complete. The cab is rusty and floorboards are gone. I was going to do a cab replacement. The bed is in the best shape out of the whole truck and is also the most critical/hard to find piece since they are unique to the anniversary edition/custom cab pickup. I have had several decent offers for the bed alone but would prefer to sell complete. This truck has been locally owned it's entire life and I am the third owner and know the previous history and I also have receipts/manuals for it as well. The body appears to be straight and needs rust repair in the cab. This would need a full restoration. Clear WA title in my name. It is a 1957 model but titled/registered as a 1958 by the dealer which was common for the left over models that didn't sell in '57. The original line setting ticket tells it all (still located above drivers side interior visor) I also purchased a digital copy of the original line setting ticket which buyer will receive as well. I want to clarify I have been a member on eBay since 2011 and have sold several classic cars/items with 100% feedback and have always been honest with every single sale. After 7yrs a winning bidder left me negative feedback only days after winning the bid. He never paid me for truck ONLY left me deposit (which I refunded back to him after all of this because that is the right thing to do) I was purchasing an investment property and couldn't work with his timeframe he needed to come up with the remaining funds for truck and I sold it to the next person in line. I will never know why he was upset I couldn't wait the 3wks for him to come up with funds and even after dealing with ebay customer service department with a confirmation number they gave me assuring me they would remove the negative feedback because he did not meet the terms, they did not handle this and now it has effected my long running positive reputation on here. Please reference all of my other positive feedback, especially all vehicle sales. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE. NO RESERVE! Highest Bidder Wins Truck! Only bid if you have the funds to purchase. A non refundable deposit of $750 is due via PayPal within 24hrs of auction end. The remaining funds are due within 3 days via bank wire transfer.Buyer is responsible for all shipping/handling costs. I understand it takes time to arrange for shipping so I can store truck for up to 3 Months for free if that helps the buyer make arrangements. I have described the truck to the best of my knowledge. Truck comes in "as-is" condition no warranty written or implied. The last two pictures show an original ad and a restored one for an example. I have the right to end the auction at any time. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Good Luck Bidding!
