Hello up for sale is this beautiful 1967 International Scout 800. If yoru’ve been looking for a Scout 800, v8 Truck, then you know just how hard these V-8, 4-speed Scouts 800’s are to find. These Scouts have been increasing in price year by year as more people are starting to understand the value of the first and original American SUV, pre-dating the Ford Bronco by several years. This is a great opportunity to own fantastic Scout for at a reasonable price, I’ve owned several of these Scouts, but now that so many people are turning onto them they’re becoming scarce.
This is by far one of the best 800 you’ll find, if you do the research and ask Scout 800 owners you find that The V-8, 4-speed powertrain is the most desirable combination, easy to work on and find parts for because this combination was the most commonly used by IH. Most importantly this powertrain gives the most bang for your buck when driving. This truck will do 60-70 freeway speeds.
This Scout is in fantastic shape, we bought this Scout from the 2nd owner in Phoenix Az. Very solid rust free truck.
A nice mix of originality and aftermarket design touches. Very strong factory V-8 with good compression, no smoking or burning of oil. Starts every time, runs and performs nicely. This Scout is turn key ready for the road. The factory 4-speed manual transmission works great shifts smoothly with fully functional 4x4 transfer case and manual locking front hubs. It is a "rust free" Scout, that's lived its entire life in dry no snow climates of Arizona and California. As part of restoration on this truck we removed the motor and completely resealed it with all new gaskets seals and freeze plugs on the motor. The motor was painted and the engine compartment was cleaned and degreased, it’s a very healthy v-8 Scout...!
This Scout has been repainted in a “Latte” Brown metallic color on the body and warm eggshell white color for the top. It's a PPG two stage painting process base/clear coat. The paint used on the body has a very small amount of metallic flake which looks great in the sun. The interior of the scout has been redone in brown vinyl with a vintage grey tweed fabric and new grey carpet throughout. The Scout also has a really nice headliner which is all custom work and something you won’t find on many scouts of this vintage. The new interior really adds to the overall comfort of the truck, All the interior work was done custom not from kit. It’s a joy to drive, It has dual exhaust, which sounds really nice and beefy without being over the top. Not sure of the exact mileage because it's a 5-digit odometer. This truck is ready for the beach, hunting or just daily driving. The chrome emblems and trim on the truck are in really good shape. All the lights work, as do all the gauges. The 31/10.5/15, Pirelli M/T tires are new with less than 100 miles on them, The polished 15" wheels are also new. We’ve mounted a new 9500lbs winch to the custom front bumper which looks and preform great. If you'd like more pics let me know also I'll be making a video of the truck running later so if interested in the video message me. I have pics of the undercarriage also if needed very clean no rust. Absolutely a great looking and running truck. It’s super complete, with spare tire rack, factory gauges and more. All the gauges, fuel tanks, electric fuel pump, heater, wipers and horn work as they should.
** Note minor imperfections, The heater motor blows but I’ve never used the heater, also passenger side fuel tank will need to be cleaned prior to use it hasn’t been used in years.
I have the clear title in hand ready to go, and we’re motivated to sell the Truck. Hopefully the pictures of this Truck show you viewers just how nice it is. Please feel free to call or send messages for details. I have shipping contacts in place that I can provide if needed. Please note, I reserve the right to end the listing early if a qualified offer is received.
