I am the second owner of this one of a kind 1979 Scout II! I bought it from an older gentleman that used it as a parts truck in Nashville, TN 7 years ago. I took the scout completely apart and it went through a complete frame off 6-year restoration. The engine and scout only had 43,000 miles on it and I have not put a thousand miles on it since the restoration was complete a year ago. We used a high impact implement paint to paint the frame body before installing all new nuts and bolts. I have a 2-inch body lift with a 4-inch rough country spring lift. The stance that this Binder has is a head turner!!
I added custom front and rear bumpers with the ability to add a wench in the future. The engine has new chrome headers, new Carb, new Aluminum radiator, new plugs, plug wires, starter, brakes, brake lines and master cylinder and all new bushings and U joints. The only thing that I didn’t touch are the main engine, transmission and transfer case and rear end since they only had 43k miles on them.
The entire floor is all new metal and has the high impact rhino lining black paint. I replaced the dash with all new updated instruments and all new wiring and updated fuse box. New custom drink holder in the console and installed the new aftermarket A/C.
The Interior is original Midas package cloth on the seats and new vinyl on the sides. I added fold down jump seats from a land rover in order to have six seats if needed. I bought the top used but it’s in great shape.
The Rims and Tires are brand new with less than 1000 miles on them. The exterior paint is a high gloss copper dodge color with the Black racing stripes with a silver pin stripe to accent. Kind of a Harley Davidson look.
I do not have a hard top for the Scout
I know I have left off tons of stuff that I have put on this scout new but just ask if you have any questions.
The Scout has very very very little wrong with it.
This is one of the nicest scouts you will ever find. I have enjoyed having it but I have 2 kids in college and one more going next year so it’s time to let go of this beauty.
