1971 International Harvester Scout Comanche Additional Info:
71 Scout real Comanche 800B, 1500 built to end the original Scout line, this one is documented and known since it sold new in Whitestone NY (NYC). Probably garage kept as the mustard paint (hood and top) are the original paint. The decals on the hood are original, but a new set goes with the purchase if the new owner chooses to replace them. All the white paint was attended to and repainted in a quality, better than new, manner. In the original color. All efforts were made to keep this original piece as original as possible, but with a superior attention to address its minor rust issue, as all Scouts have--. There is no rust or blemishes now. The bumpers are the originals and have minor flaws. The spare tire has never hit the ground. The wheels are the original chrome wheels. Mechanically, the truck had parts replaced that an older vehicle that has not been used much, needs. The headliner was replaced with a replica type as no originals can be bought. I am the third owner and have driven it 992 miles. The second owner drove it 4 miles with documents to prove this. Yeah-- that's four--
It is not flawless, but really good.
Ready to show and enjoy.
