1972 International Harvester 1310 Camper Special Additional Info:
Other projects force sale of my 1972 International Harvester IH 1310 Camper Special. 1300 series are rare trucks, and this is an extraordinary heavy duty vintage hauling rig. When my commuter car broke down in June, I drove this truck to work daily, with no problems.
Engine is a 392 V8 topped with a 650 double pumper, and backed by a desirable iron Borg Warner M-12 automatic. True dual exhaust that dump at rear axles maximize output and sounds good too.
Truck is rated at 1-1/4 ton, with 7 leaf springs in front, factory option front sway bar, 8 lug Spicer axles front and back. Yeah, this is super duty. Rear wheel drive - not a 4x4.
Lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, speedo/odometer, fuel gauge, alternator gauge all seem to be working.
Crazy rare factory A/C set up, CB radio, old front push bumper, vintage brake controller hooked up with rear tow ball plus hitch receiver in back. 2 gas tanks that look very clean underneath.
NEW: radiator hoses, master cylinder, battery, front shocks, carburetor rebuild, oil and coolant change.
Extremely rust free California truck - solid overall, especially underneath and structurally. Just a bit of rot on hood lip. Now she does leak oil, windshield has a crack, brakes favor the right side a bit (need adjusting) and tires are not fresh.
Clean title in my name, just put on non-op. Way cooler than a Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Ford pick up truck!
