1964 International Harvester Scout Additional Info:
This scout sat for 20 years. Brakes, new master, new drums and shoes, wheel cylinders, lines as needed. Parking brake restored, works perfectly. New shocks all around, new General Grappler tires on restored original wheels. New clutch master and slave. New front u joints, rear were good. Restored lockouts and repacked wheel bearings. New muffler. Cooling system restored to perfect working condition. Replaced rusty frost plugs. New wires, plugs and converted to electronic ignition. Fuel system restored. Solid original tank on drivers side, have a solid tank for the passenger side but have not installed. Original brass valve for switching tanks.Every light and gauge works perfectly. New speedo cable. New light switch and dimmer switch. Solid truck with very little rust, what there is is shown in pictures. I replaced the floor pans as they were getting bad. Pans came from scout parts, with the reinforcements. Has the Rare overdrive option and the powerlock rear diff. New low back seats. The only thing that doesn't work are the wipers, I hadn't gotten around to them, and the horn, the relay clicks but horn is bad, and of course the radio. Starts and runs, drives perfectly. Slip it into overdrive and its just off idle at 60 mph. I have the original passenger seat but not the driver. Have all the emblems plus extras. Probably forgetting something. I had planned on leaving the nice patina on it and just enjoying it as is, but another project has come up and I can't keep her. No reserve, the truck will sell. Carb rebuilt.
