1966 International Harvester Other Travelall Custom Wagon Additional Info:
Finding a really good 1966 International Travel-all 1000-A is getting difficult. This model has the factory boxed, frame and torsion bar independent front suspension. Factory power-steering, Power brakes, A/C.
It also has the very sought after clam-shell power rear tail-gate and it is in excellent condition. This was a running and driving vehicle when we bought it. Compression was 150 across the board and oil pressure was 50 PSI @ idle.
We rebuilt the brakes all around and replaced all the brake lines too. One of the heads had a non-repairable crack at the exhaust bolt, so we decided to pull the motor, clean it up and replace the heads. We bought a pair of completely rebuilt heads and they are included. We pulled the nose to make it easier to clean and pull the engine.
The are a few bumps and dents, but overall it is in great shape and98% rust free. Solid floors, rockers, doors etc. Tail gate is rust free, but the motor needs to be serviced to work. The glass is excellent all around. There are two sets of wheels and tires. There are 5 steel wheels that are powder-coated grey with Goodyear AT radials. There are four custom mag wheels with radials also.
The pictures show the assembled running and driving vehicle when we bought it, and the partial disassembly that is is currently in, engine out, front fenders, grill, radiator, and hood removed. It is a rolling vehicle and all the parts are included. Please look at all the pictures provided. It is roller and will need a winch to load it. If you want it re-assembled to run and drive, we can discuss that for an additional cost. We have just re-listed as an auction with no reserve. This is your 7 day opportunity to own it at a very low price. We have a very good factory automatic transmisson (DG-3) and conversion steering column we can include if you prefer an automatic. These are an OEM bolt in.
