THIS IS A RARE FIND, A VERY SOUGHT AFTER SCOUT - THE PINNACLE OF THE EARLY MODELS. FINDING AN INTERNATIONAL SCOUT 800A IN
THIS KIND OF ORIGINAL CONDITION HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT. MOST OF THEM ARE MODIFIED, OR HAVE LONG SINCE TURNED TO DUST.
THIS ONE REMAINS IN ABOUT AS CLOSE TO ORIGINAL CONDITION AS I HAVE SEEN. HAS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL EMBLEMS AND
DASHBOARD ITEMS, FROM WHAT I CAN SEE.
JUST FINDING THE "V" FENDER EMBLEMS FOR THIS MODEL HAS BECOME A CHORE, AND THESE ARE STILL INTACT, AS IS THE FACTORY STEERING

THIS SCOUT 800 IS STILL IN IT'S ORIGINAL COLOR
THE 304 ENGINE HAS A 2 BARREL CARBURETOR, FACTORY AIR CLEANER, INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. ORIGINAL IH RADIATOR WITH GREEN COOLANT. DUAL EXHAUST WITH FULL TAILPIPES.
AT THE TURN OF THE KEY WITH TWO PUMPS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THIS ENGINE COMES ALIVE AND HAS A NICE EVEN TONE. I DROVE IT
TODAY AND IT RAN JUST FANTASTIC. I STOPPED AND STARTED IT ABOUT 8 TIMES AND EVERY TIME IT LIT UP WITH NO HESITATION WHATSOEVER. I THINK IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT!
THE CLUTCH AND TRANS FELT GOOD, TRANS WAS RUN THROUGH ALL RANGES WITH NO UNUSUAL NOISE OR PERFORMANCE. THE CLUTCH ENGAGED QUICKLY
AND THE ENGINE PULLED VERY STRONG WITHOUT ANY DETECTED SMOKE OUT THE TAILPIPE OR NOISES OTHER THAN A NICE SMOOTH EVEN PURR OUT

AND LOCKS INTO POSITION. (EASILY UNLOCKS AS WELL WITH AN UPWARD PUSH OF THE REAR HATCH DOOR)
THE TAILGATE HAS ITS ORIGINAL BRACKETS AND OPENS AND CLOSES NICELY WITH THE LATCH ON THE LEFT SIDE.
DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE NICELY. PASSENGER WINDOW ROLLS UP AND DOWN WITH A BIT OF ASSISTANCE, AS MOST SCOUT WINDOWS
TEND TO BE. GLASS IS ALL INTACT AND I DON'T SEE ANY CRACKS IN ANY GLASS. SPEEDO, TEMP, OIL PRESSURE GAUGES WORK. NO RADIO. LIGHTS WORK,
BRAKE LIGHTS TOO. MAP LIGHT ON DASH WORKS.
BODY HAS SOME IMPERFECTIONS HERE AND THERE, AS YOU CAN SEE. FLOORS HAVE SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS BUT ARE SOLID.
