1966 International Harvester 1300D Additional Info:

I needed a dump truck for a large landscaping project on a new home. I came across this truck, and purchased it in 2011 from a local contractor who was using it for dump runs. It was running rough, so I had my mechanic look at her. The first thing we did was a compression test. All 8cylindersexceeded or met spec, so we did acompletetune up. Plugs, points, distributor cap, wires, condenser, the whole 9 yards. After that she ran really well, but had an exhaust leak because of a cracked exhaust manifold. So, I had bothmanifolds removed, one replace, andreinstalled with new gaskets, and the rest of the exhaust system replaced. I also replaced all 6tries withnew rubber. The truck movedmountains of material, saving be a load of cash on my landscaping project. The landscaping project done, I continued to use her for firewood and other errands. Last year I had the fuel tank reconditioned, andreplaced the Starter,Alternatorand all the hydraulic hoses that run the dump body. I did not use her at all this summer, and after sitting for several months, I noticed theheadlights are not working. Rather than do any more repairs, or start a restoration, I think I would like to find her a new home. Except the front lighting issue, everything works, EVEN THE AM RADIO. She is rusty, see the photos, but there are enough sturdy bonesremaining to get a few more years out of her as is, or perhaps restore her. I amstarting the auction price very low, with noreserve. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding
