Up for sale is 1987 decommissioned Humvee/hmmwv. It started out as a 2 door pickup with a 6.2 diesel motor with a 3 speed automatic transmission, in camo paint. I first stripped it down and gave it a quick paint job. Added a new soft top, soft doors, and updated hmmwv high back seats. Later I added the kevlar doors and rear bumper. The 6.2 motor was whipped so I replaced it with a 2011 GEP 6.5 turbo diesel, 4 speed automatic transmission and 242 transfer case, with both the newer engine computer and the transmission computer. The engine number 01-08-T 12555506. The guy I bought the drive train from claimed it had about 500 miles on it but don't hold it against me. The alternator is a dual voltage 24 volt / 12 volt. The 12 volt is to power the transmission and can power accessories that can be added. The drive train came from a newer stripped out hmmwv. He had a couple drive trains in his building.So I did the drive train swap this summer. The truck still needs some work done on it though.The wiring for the transmission and engine computer needs completed, I have a new fuel tank that needs to be put in, I have newer drive shafts since the original ones did not fit. The front passenger side windshield needs replaced. The truck will need a new exhaust put in, the old one would not work with the 6.5 turbo configuration. Also there is a brush guard included. The last pic shows the truck with the brush guard.I am getting tired of working on the truck all of the time. Fall is here and I need to get things done around the house before it snows. At this point I would like to sell my truck just to get rid of it. This truck is being sold as is no warranty. I have a lot of $$$ tied up in this transformation.
