1989 AM General M998 Humvee. This HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) has only 19,000 miles since a rebuild in 2005. It starts quickly, and runs and drives. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated Optimizer 6.5L Detroit Diesel V8 and is backed by a Turbo 400, 3-speed automatic transmission. It has a full time 2-speed transfer case, with high, high-lock, and low-lock. The 4-wheel inboard disc brakes stop great, and the 37x12.50R16.5 tires have 75% tread remaining. It has a full soft-top and soft doors. It has the add-on floor and driveline tunnel insulation and the heat/blower motor work fine. Has 2 BRAND NEW 850 CCA batteries, and 8 new glowplugs. It does have the 200 amp dual voltage alternator, so you can wire up 12-volt electrical accessories. Both rear doors have new door handles. There are several holes in the top of the right rear fender from where something was mounted. I do have the rear section of the cargo cover, but the velcro is rotted, there is a hole for an antenna cut into the right side, and the stitching for the window zipper is coming apart. The driver's side mirror bracket is bent up.
It does have a clear Indiana title and is plated and insured. Street Legal.
This HMMWV can only be sold to US citizens.
