Reliable driver quality N600 which starts, runs, stops and shifts as it should. Clear title in hand.
I was told when I purchased it the engine has recently been rebuilt; I do not have receipts for this, but it runs great, no leaks, no smoke. The famous Tim Mings (Merciless Mings) went through the car when I bought it, rebuilt the carb, replace the worn stock cam, and tuned the car. This car has the early "Hawaiian motor" which has a higher compression head, and therefore NO heat exchangers.
All electrical and lights work as they should. Turn signals work, but one side does not blink in the dash. I replaced the horns with Hella dual horns, which are in the engine bay. They are LOUD.
The brake booster has been removed, which is common for these cars. This increased the pedal effort, but the car does stop just fine.
A previous owner resprayed the car a brighter red with "California Kid" flames. That paint is bubbling and peeling in places (see pictures). Roof has a "rising sun" theme. Original Magma Red is in the interior and engine bay. No noticeable rust inside or underneath. Includes custom CA plates as shown. Bright work is in good condition.
Reproduction taillight lenses are fading on the sides; you might be able to re-coat them.
Carpets are in great shape, car has a new headliner. A second car I bought happened to have red/black seats, so they are in this car. The seats it came with (sort of a rattan theme) are also included.
The dash top is very clean, with just a couple of minor cracks.
Interior has a non-molested no-radio center dash piece.
A new sport steering wheel is fitted, and a previous owner installed a "START" button where the heater control goes. It's fun and I haven't changed it back to stock, but you could. I installed retractable 3-point seat belts in front, the originals are included.
The exhaust is not original, but has a nice growl note to it. It's bolted underneath, so it's a little on the louder side in the cabin. I was going to return that to a rubber hanger, but haven't gotten to it.
The wheels are authentic Work Equips, they are refinished and wrapped with Vredestein radial tires. Original wheels are not included, but the spare is an original one.
Other spare parts from this car and some from the other one are included.
