The car came with true magnesium wheels (13 inch) that are very light weight and special low rolling resistance tires. It had an EPA Highway rating of 55 mpg and had real world mileage of 60 mpg when new, all without being a hybrid. The CVCC engine has valve control that only one intake valve opens until the engine hits 2500 rpm, then the second intake valve opens, this is done with hydraulics, no electrical control. Still gets 30+ mpg winter 40+ mpg summer.
A second set of the same stock wheels (blasted and repainted silver) have General Altimax Arctic 175/70/13 winter tires with 7/32” (6mm) tread. The original wheels (installed) have General Altimax RTs 175/70/13 with 10/32” (8mm) tread.
Mechanical: original engine, never rebuilt, newer ignition parts; transmission rebuilt w synthetic oil, new clutch; recent clutch slave cylinder, new shocks; exhaust system good (minor leak forward); brakes in good condition, recent master cylinder, recent rear wheel cylinders and backing plate reconditioned, front newer pads and discs good; front axle CVs been replaced, good. Engine regularly washed. Regular oil 5w30 @ 5,000 mile intervals, spare filters and oil plug gaskets to go with car.
Body: Body work has been done over the years due to incidents and rust, but overall no visible rust and paint okay (some mismatch at rear fenders that were replaced 2020). Scattered hail dents (not obvious) other dings and dents from 28 years of constant use. Original fuel tank replaced with 13 gallon Civic DX tank from Kentucky.
Interior: Very good condition, driver’s seat fabric in similar fabric as stock next to the door. Original carpets good. Dashboard has some minor cuts and scratches from a break-in.

A spare parts car of the same year, red, is included. Could be restored. Running engine and all but a few small parts still installed. Transmission needs input bearing. No A/C. Body has some rust.
Owner maintained (fussy aircraft mechanic) except larger jobs. Thick folder of all work ever done - which has been a lot and too much to list. Fun to drive - will miss it. Too many cars.
