1989 Honda Civic DX Additional Info:
For Sale is my late father's 1989 Honda Civic DX hatchback. It is a 1.5L 4 cylinder, 5 Speed Manual Transmission. It had an AM/FM Cassette Stereo. This is a bone stock commuter, no power seats, no power locks, no power steering, no power windows. No air conditioning. However, this is the CLEANEST Civic you'll ever see, bone stock. This vehicle was NEVER in snow, in rain twice!! Ever!! In almost 30 Years!!!! NEVER smoked in, and even after he was gone, I left my coffee cup at my parents' house because I couldn't even fathom bringing an empty travel mug into the car. The car was ALWAYS stored in doors, even when he drove it to work, he pulled it in the shop. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this vehicle, fly in from anywhere in the country and drive it home. Everything works, it runs like a 40,500 mile car should. He did keep up on oil changes and ran it even when he stored it over the winters, or when the weather wasn't perfect. Here is what was done since he passed and I pulled it out of storage. I changed the oil, I replaced the front rotors and pads, there was a slight corrosion warping due to sitting. There was a small bit of corrosion from condensation of water in the exhaust, so I replaced from the converter back. I actually used all the same nuts and bolts, they all came off with box wrenches! I would love to keep this car and drive it (I remember him getting 42+ MPG), it is a fun, peppy little 4 cylinder. Unfortunately, I have enough of my own toys, and have no room for this in my garage. Plus my mother needs the money for closing his estate. So please, take a look, and please bid, not for me, for my mom. Buy it and drive it, turn it into a race car, turn it into a street machine, whatever you want, but enjoy it, and know this is a vehicle that is solid, reliable and ready to go.I will be present to load onto a transport if needed. Buyer arranges and pays shipping. Please feel free to ask questions, or email me for more pictures.
Thank you for looking.
