1981 Honda Accord Additional Info:
This is a Very Original, Low Mile, 1981 Honda Accord Hatchback.
Sold new in Glen Cove NY to an Airline Pilot for Pan Am at JFK.
Purchased From Honda North Shore Motors in Glen Cove NY on 11-19-1980 for $7221.10.
To date the car has 17,685 Miles. Every Mile is documented by the original owner in his log book. He took very detailed notes and kept every receipt.
I have the original Owners manual, repair receipts, original Invoice, Copy of Original title and a current NY title. The car is located in Auburn CA.
The original owners wife relocated to CA in 2003. The car was put in a storage container and transported. There are a few spots of body damage done at this time. They are documented in the photos.
It was garaged from new and only driven in good weather. This is evident by the condition of the car. It appears almost new, inside, out and underneath. Very few cars have survived from any era in this condition.
I seriously thought about having the fender dent and top of car where the paint was rubbed by a strap repaired. But I wanted the next owner to acquire it in original shape with nothing hiding.
A few things have been repaired over time, seriously only a few and they were done with Genuine Honda Now Parts. with exception of one headlamp done at a local garage.
Basically all the car has needed was fluid changes and batteries. I have receipts for everyone done.
Recently the car had all fluids flushed, brakes bled out with new fluid and one rear shoe replaced that delaminated. I have kept all original parts.
I did have the muffler replaced recently. And I found a genuine Honda NOS, new muffler in Europe. And had it shipped here.
Interior is nearly flawless.
Under hood is super clean, but does have factory undercoating. It is not the most visually appealing. But it does come off very easy with a gas soaked rag. So easy in fact I doubt it worked very good. I left it for the new owner to decide.
The car was a low optioned car with only a heater and power brakes.
The tires on the car are ORIGINAL Bridgestone. I left them because it could end up in a collection or on display? All 5 tires are date coded the 37 week of 1980. The spare has never been out of the trunk. All tools are original and present.
It starts right up and ides perfectly smooth with no mechanical issues at all. Tires are the only consideration if the car is going to be driven.
ZERO RUST anywhere!
EVERYTHING works as it should.
I will ad more to the description as I remember more or questions are asked.
I can ship to port of Oakland/ Richmond CA for $250 and Los Angeles/ Long Beach for $350.
Clear, current NY title in hand.
