1972 GMC C15 Additional Info:
Beautiful 72 C15. Looks and drives great! Factory looking at first glance but there are a lot of little custom modifications.I took the body completely apart to restore it. It wasn't super rusty but all the rust it had has been replaced with steel. Has new rocker panels and cab corners. All the other patches are butt welded in, not lapped over.I removed the side marker lights for a sleeker look.Truck is painted with an updated, slightly brighter shade of blue.Lowered a couple inches in the front to give it a raked look. Still rides like a factory truck. Bed is furniture grade pine with 5 coats of spar urethane. Should last a long time. Rails are custom made with hidden bolts. This truck came with non power disc brakes in the front! Also has duel master cylinder for safety. Stops great.New weather stripping, new windshield, factory tinted door glass, sliding rear window. Door locks are a little tricky because of the tight seals but I think it will get easier as the weather stripping breaks in.Engine purrs! Doesn't smoke at all. Has really good power for a six. Has been converted to an electronic distributer. I thought about a v8 swap but this motor runs so good I thought it deserved to stay in there. All the lights work. Reverse lights work from a switch under the dash since it was a column shift.Gauges and speedo and heater controls work. Tires have a little dry rot but not bad and tread is really good. This is a straight old truck that will look good for years to come. Feel free to ask questions and thanks for your time!
