From my project inventory....up for sale is this awesome 1946-47 GMC 1/2 Ton truck. The first run of vehicles after WWII. Still utilizing the Pre War designs. You see a lot more Chevy's of these years than you do of GMC's. Current California title & registration. Very dry truck (very little rot). This is a "you finish" restoration. Meaning, that it is a project that is ready to cross the finish line. All of the hard work has been done to this lil' beauty. Frame off restoration has been done, all metal has been stripped, initial powder coated/primed, new GMC motor was installed (Big 270), the truck it is ready for body/paint, and final assembly. The brake system is all brand new and never been charged. The documentation is also crazy. It goes back to where the truck was originally purchased (Point Reyes, Ca.). The previous owner had a journal of all repairs made with dates and receipts! Prepared Pre/Build Journal/story. All the info is there! This would be awesome for a resto. shop, private collector, or as a business advertisement truck. Truck runs....,but has a low end knock like a loose cap or a piston that was put in backwards, something during assembly. I haven't dropped the pan to investigate. I'm sure an easy fix since the motor has been rebuild and has 0 miles on it. These trucks can be valued at $20-$40K restored. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Buyer picks up locally or coordinates shipping of the truck to desired location.
