1971 GMC Other Additional Info:

North Eastern New Mexico Survivor 1971 GMC 1/2 Ton pickup.Mileage is 63863 and verified to be original to the truck. last title transfer was in 1991 to the sons of the original owner. That mileage shows 57094. Family verifies that it is original. The sticker in back window shows Phil Like which was a close dealership to this area and where it was purchased. It rarely ever traveled more than 45 miles any any direction.
The good.Low mile 71 GMC 2wd Lwb 350 auto trans pickup.Motor turns over by Hand!!! truck was parked because of motor mount malfunction which is pictured. Is believed to have had no other issues. Unless rodents, or issues arise from sitting that cause major problems this motor was running well when parked. Priming the oil system and additives will help tremendously if tempted.Clean signed NM title and Bill of Sale.Fairly Complete truck that's not been owned by a million people with a million miles.Has the Horn button - iykyk.Theres some bad rust spots, BUT over all the truck is super solid and many of the places you would see cancer are solid. Front fenders, cab floor, battery tray, etc.all 4 GMC hub caps!!! not show but really decent. Also factory spare tire rim.Power Steering, Power Brake, Radio, Auto TruckVery well made rear bed rack with hitching rails.
Not great but not badmotor mounts are laughably bad. the shift arm came out of the trans mount the first time I took it out of park. Its all there but you can rock the motor with your hand. cheap easy fix.Chemical enhancement enthusiast liberated the radiator in a terrible fashion. line repairs for the cooler lines and new radiator will fix.The mice have nests everywhere. Living 30 miles in the LLano Estacado on a ranch dormant for 30 years means the wildlife has left its mark. Its full of dropping and smells the part. Ate the plug wires. A thorough cleaning is completely step one!! Expect nest's in the heater box, behind the seat, under the tank, roof etc.Homemade grill guard although well done is welded to the factory front bumper.Non Stock exhaust system
The bad - as I view it...Worst part of the whole truck is the bed floor. tubs are fine, mounts, sides etc. The only thing I can think of is they kept bales of hay in the bed to feed cattle and the old bales where left in for wayyy too long. You can either cover it with metal or if you're a perfectionist you will have to replace the floor.2nd worst part is mouse rust. So yeah things don't normally rust here but mouse urine is corrosive. The inner cab upper roof forward especially around the drivers window is cancerous. All of these trucks get nest built up in there and just rot. You can clean it out and leave it alone as I have on many a truck but it is pictured. Also the seam above the door openings in the cab has rust from the mice on both sides3 its got some dents down the passenger side. I just had some similar dents knocked out on another 71 by a body shop. They can be worked out but you have to find the right kind of person to do it for you.4 passenger side lower rear cab corner has slight cancer, and passenger side upper step on top of the rocker has a small hole.
Please ask question!!!! I tried to show as many pictures in my 30 image limit as I can to represent the truck.
