1982 GMC C1500 Additional Info:

This is a two-owner substantially unmodified truck. It has just over 48,000 original miles. It has never been in any accidents or sustained any damage of any kind. My father purchased it from the original owner near Buffalo, NY in the fall of 2005. The original owner was given the truck new as a retirement gift from his long time employer. I have be in possession of the truck since my father's death in May 2020. My Mother is the current titled owner for whom I am administering this sale. Upon purchase, my father performed a comprehensive but essentially superficial restoration on the truck. This included a full tune up, replacement of the original exhaust, rebuilding of the original four barrel carburetor, replacement of rear shocks, all four factor original wheels were replaced inclusive of new tires. The factory original rubber floor mat was removed and OEM carpet was installed, the original AM radio was removed and cd player was installed in its place along with upgraded original speakers and four additional speakers and amplifier added behind the bench seat. custom rear mud flaps were fabricated and installed along with bed rails, sun visor, and tonneau cover. The roof of the cab is the only portion of the exterior finish which is not original. It was repainted with factor specified Martin Senour paint to correct clear coat failure and sun fade. The chassis was also fully undercoated. It has always been garage kept and has never had any major mechanical or body repairs or modifications performed. The truck is entirely rust free.Currently, the truck is being stored at my personal residence. It is in immediate running and driving condition. Still, it must be noted that it has been in tended storage since my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2018, and consequently, is in need of a full mechanical work up similar in scope to what was performed in 05. Oil pan, transmission pan, and valve cover gaskets have seepage, and radiator overflow reservoir has hairline crack causing minor leakage as well. Engine comes down to smooth idle but displays minor misfire which is likely due to age of ignition and fuel system components. All fluids/filters are aged and in need of replacing.Nonetheless, the truck still fires right up and can be driven around the neighborhood without issue. Everything works as it should and it retains a practically new physical appearance.This is truly a rare survivor in mint condition. It was my father's pride and joy. You won't find a nicer original C10 anywhere.Clean title in hand. Cash sale/local pick up prefered.
