Ihave a 1951 GMC 250 1 ton dually project for sale. This truck started its life as a grain truck on a farm in Morris, IL. My vision was to make a 1 ton dually pick up using factory parts. After removing the grain bed and all associated hardware thefollowing work has been performed…a) I had the fuel tank boiled, cleaned the gummed up fuel valve, made a new fuel line from front to rear and replaced the fuel pump. Also, the Zenith carb was rebuilt and installed a fuel filter.b) I did a complete tune-up…plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap and rotor and changed the oil.The engine was never frozen. After squirting some ATF in the cylinders and turning it over, then installing the spark plugs, the engine fired right up. It ran well with no unusual noises. It does not currently run because the fuel tank was uninstalled when the cab corners were being replaced and not yet reinstalled.c) The cab corners were replaced.d) The front panel of the bed was replaced with a new Mar-K panel.e) The frame and differential was sandblasted and sprayed with POR-15.d) This truck is complete and all OE with the exception of the aluminum radiator.Only one of the rear fenders has been stretched so far. I have the un-stretched left rear fender.
