This 1981 GMC C-15 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and drivetrain. Built over the last year on Crossthread Garage & Salvage YouTube channel as a Cleveland Indians Grounds Crew Hot Rod tribute truck. The owner has owned it for one year and uses it as a daily driver. The vehicle runs smoothly and has a clean title with mileage at 135000. Its bold red color, distressed patina, satin clear coat, and hand painted door lettering and logos, makes it an eye-catching ride. This truck is perfect for those seeking a unique and reliable daily driver that is sure to turn heads.
Vehicle Details
Rebuilt 350 small block Chevy with a mild cam, aluminum weiand intake, Carter four barrel carb, fresh gaskets and seals all around, long-tube headers.
Turbo 350 trans with Hurst Indy floor shifter and custom console.
Cherry bomb glass pack mufflers terminate in front of rear axle.
Lowered 5 inches in the front with shorter springs and drop spindles, all new steering and suspension components up front.
Dropped 7 inches in the rear to level the truck with an axle flip kit and removal of several leaves from the spring kit.
New enamel paint, distressed and clear coated with Summit Hot Rod Satin Clear.
Custom door lettering and bed-side billboard as well as fenders and tailgate indicating the 1981 All-Star game logo that Cleveland hosted. (This is all tribute, it was not previously an Indians grounds crew vehicle)
New bed liner
Mild rust repairs done with replacement panels in the cab corners and partial rockers.
Frame refreshed with wire wheel and fresh paint.
New tires and center caps for rally wheels.
New starter.
New door cards and dash cover
Fuel gauge and emergency brake do not work. Fuel gauge was working up until about a month ago. Likely needs replaced sending unit as gauge is stuck at just under half-tank. E-brake needs new cable.
Otherwise truck is in good operating condition. I drive it regularly to work, 50 miles round trip with no concerns or problems. Starts easy and runs great.
