1953 GMC Truck

For sale is this beautiful 1953 GMC 5 window truck. 5 window trucks are the most desirable in the AD Trucks. This truck was completed in October of this year and has been driven a good 500 miles with no issues. Let me start by saying that this body is not a show quality neither is the paint. This truck is solid with dings here and there. All major dents that were observed were taken care of. This truck had a fake patina on it so it was sanded to bare metal and repainted. The metal on the upper fenders had some small pitting but I did not add any bondo as I want the metal to be as solid as it can be not a bondo truck. Only small dimples are probably observed if you look for them. I repaired with new metal whatever rot I found which was only 4 areas. This truck was painted with a light cream color so the truck looks clean and any small imperfections in metal cannot be seen unless you look for them. Again, this is a 70-year-old truck but clean.

Frame

This truck is sitting on a modern S-10 frame with Disk brakes all around and power steering. Front upper tubular A-arms chassis has been painted semi gloss black.

Rear C-notch with 4-link suspension and relocated aluminum gas tank at the rear along with the battery.

Drivetrain

350 SBC with a 350 Transmission. The engine is painted gloss black with light cream accents to match the exterior paint. Aluminum 4 core radiator with electric pusher fan.

Engine bay

The engine bay has been painted with a satin black except for the firewall. The firewall was welded smooth, shaved, and painted light cream. The electrical harness was hidden for that show finish compartment.

Interior & Exterior

The inside of the cab was left simple as a blank canvas for its new owner to make it to their taste. The bench seat was reupholstered, dash received new Dolphin Gauges. The inside of the cab was painted with a semi-gloss black color. All electrical wiring is brand new. The front glass, rear glass, and corner glass received new weather strip. The front left glass got 3 hair line cracks while being installed but nothing major affecting the visibility. Doors open, close, and lock properly. Window channels need minor work but still roll up and down perfectly with ease. Rear bed floor was raised and has black painted wooden planks that look amazing. Air ride is simple under the dash rocker switches with air gauges.

Headlights are new projector-style lamps with halo ring and turn signal on the ring as well. All lights work as they should and turn signal as well.
