Vehicle Details
What your looking at is a gorgeous 1980 Jimmy Sierra classic. It is a rare factory 2wd model! Odometer is showing 79,385 miles currently, which might go up slightly but not above 80k miles. This truck has spent its life in Georgia up until the last year. I do have a clean clear Tennessee title in hand.
The engine is a 350 which replaced the factory 305. I have receipts that the swap was done in 1996. It still does retain the factory 350 transmission. The engine fires right up and sounds great threw the brand new dual exhaust and long tube headers. Also has a edelbrock intake and carburetor. The entire ignition system has been changed with new parts also. This is a AC optioned truck! All new AC parts are installed besides the compressor which is brand new and included with sale. The heater core has also been replaced including it the rubber lines.
This Jimmy also has new drivetrain and suspension components. This includes new tires ‘and matching spare’. Monroe shocks all around. Entire brake overhaul front and back. It rides like a dream down the road!
The interior is mostly complete. It also is showing its ago with a cracked dash. The seats are in great shape with no major rips. The drivers side backrest does occasionally fall backwards, it’s not locking into place. All gauges work besides the coolant which i might have fixed before the sell. The fuel gauge was working but last time i filled it up, the needle got stuck on full and hasn’t came down.
The heat blows nice and hot! As mentioned above, the ac system has been replaced but i have not installed the compressor.
The body is showing its age for being 43 years old. It does have the usual rust at the drip rails where the top and cab meet. It also has a few other exterior spots showing rust. The cowl section is clean. The underside is very clean as shown in the pictures!
Rear glass does still roll up and down nicely. New headlights have been installed. Also installed the correct windshield in the truck ‘with defrost’.
The truck has had one paint in its life. This was originally a red/white body, and white top.
The paint does shine nice for what it is, and gets lots of compliments for the condition it’s in.
Included with the sale is every single document since brand new. All sales brochures, every receipt, every oil change record. This is a very documented truck! It also comes with spare parts i was given by previous owner.
Realistically this is a great surviver truck. These 2wd models especially the GMC versions are getting extremely hard to find. It would not take much to turn this into a show truck, or just enjoy it as is like i do.
I’m open to buy it now offers, but please be reasonable. The reserve is already set low on this compared to the other trucks similar to this.
