Up for bidding today is a very nice, clean 1971 GMC C1500 2wd. The truck features over 90% of its original paint, including the factory applied pinstripe. Rust is a very minor issue...cab corners and rocker panels have just been replaced and paint perfectly blended in. Only rust is a small hole in the LR corner of the bed floor and a small amount of surface on the lower front of the RH fender. As you can see in the pictures, there is patina crafted by Mother Nature & Father Time, while it spent its days in Texas. Now for the drivetrain...power comes from the very bullet proof 250 Inline 6 cylinder backed by a 3spd manual transmission, which is shifted by a new but old school Hurst Indy floor shifter. Truck runs & drives very smoothly due to a few upgrades. Among these are the Pertronix Electronic Ignition installed in the old style points distributor and power steering, which was not originally a installed option. The Goodyear Wrangler tires are also new, in the 235/75/15 size. The interior is in great shape as well. The seat cover and dash pad have been replaced recently, but the rubber mat on the floor shows a bit of wear. There is even a bit of comfortable patina on the inside of the driver's door. The under side of the truck is just as nice as the top side, easily displaying the easy use of the truck over its 52 years. I have pictures of the part invoices that I can provide as well. Shipping is to be arranged by the buyer. A $500 deposit in my PayPal account is required at end of auction & full payment within 7 days of auction close. Please feel free to ask any questions, bid often & good luck! Thank you for looking!!
