1968 GMC C10 1500 Custom Prostreet Additional Info:
This 1968 GMC C10 1500 Custom Prostreet is a full build that's so fresh, there's only about 350 miles on it. It declares it's something different with the ultra-low stance dialed-in by the air ride suspension, but there's so much going on here. The leather-lined custom interior, updated chassis, and a 700 hp LS3 supercharged V8 all prove the glossy wood in the truck bed is only for taking home trophies.
The air ride suspension means you can watch jaws drop at the same rate as the truck's body. But even when you have this one at a normal cruising height, you can instantly tell it's something special. The teal and white two-tone have a classic 1960s style, but the level of gloss and shine is unmistakable from a quality modern application. Plus, this has the straight sheetmetal and immaculate brightwork in the grille and bumpers that tell you that this is no workhorse. The back window has a cool graphic with "It's only money," and we know exactly why. One receipt from the build documents some components (and none of the labor,) and it was still nearly $75k! One of the noticeable recipients of this big investment were the 20-inch American Racing wheels done in a mean matte black. Not only do you have extra wide rear ones, but also they expertly tuck into this custom build whenever the truck is lowered. In fact, when you roll back the tonneau cover, people may be too busy looking at the glossy wood in the bed to realize the floor was expertly raised to accommodate the upgraded suspension. And everything from the side integrated exhaust tips, to the way this gave a set or headlights for added air intake all signal that this is one powerful pickup.
The moment you open the door, the line is immediately blurred between pickup truck and exotic sports car. The pattern in the leather TMI seat will remind you of a Ferrari, and the door panels are custom matched. And so it's no accident that the big yellow tach on the full Classic Instruments Auto Cross gauge set looks like it came from the Italian sports car, too. You have the best in performance-ready pieces, like the RaceQuip harnesses and a wood-rimmed Momo steering wheel. There's also the right comfort pieces, like a tilt steering column, R134a air conditioning, a Ridetech interface to adjust the suspension, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth.
Under the hood is the real treat, because within the ultra-smooth fender walls lies a fuel-injected LS3 V8. In fact, this is listed as an enlarged E-Force forged 416 cubic-inch motor with a supercharger. This is a fully built kit that was over a $25k investment all on its own. But it was worth it, because these are known to produce over 700 horsepower on pump gas right out of the box! It fires up with the ease of a modern machine, and the header-fed dual exhaust makes sure people know this is no farm machine (it's really a barn burner!) To handle all this power, a 4L85e four-speed transmission was added that was specially built for a great everyday balance - including a shift kit for performance driving and overdrive for easy cruising. A pickup like this can bring some big power to the streets, and that's why the independent front suspension has been upgraded to Heidts tubular arms. The rear is now a strong four-link. And yes, they are all full adjustable as part of the air ride system, so you can park this at your favorite car show and drop it all the way to the ground so it "lays body". Completing this driver-friendly feeling is a full Wilwood drilled and slotted four-wheel disc brake package, power steering, and the grip of Mickey Thompson tires in the rear.
Oh yeah, now you know why this is a six-figure creation, and you also know it's being offered huge discount over what it would cost to replicate this custom pickup. So don't delay, or this supercharged GMC might be gone. Call today!!!
