1965 GMC Truck C-10

1965 GMC Truck Additional Info:

A rare jewell. 1965 GMC Truck. 1/2 ton Stepside. Original 305(5.0L and yes it is a 305 and it is a V6. These were the workhorse engines) V6 Engine. Runs and purrs like a sewing machine. Carburetor idles a little high for my liking but it works. 3 Speed Manual shift on the column with a good clutch. Even the factory emergency brake system is still in perfect condition.Tires are no good. The front two Chevy steel hubcap wheels do not go with the truck. Two additional aluminum wheels will be put back on the truck. Bed boards are trash and need replacing. Moved the gas tank to the rear and need to put a check valve at the tank to prevent drain back. Will do that as this ad runs. Have pulled all 4 wheel-hub assemblies down and replaced what few brake parts needed replacing, most were near new condition. All 4 wheels have drum brakes. These trucks were built for working. Heavy duty everything on it. Has factory rear leaf springs vs. the standard Coil springs. Tailgate is missing. I have removed the grill and all of the headlight components and totally rebuilt the entire lighting assembly with all new parts to include the dimmer switch and rear tail lights as well. All work and so do the blinkers. Solid floors with only surface rust. All wiring is 100% original and in the factory retainers. I have driven the truck down the road a few times and up to 60 mph but not too far as it is not insured. It is a solid truck for its age. I put all new ignition components on it to include plugs, wires, points and Dist cap. Still nee to fine tune. I also replaced all of the windshield wiper components and they work flawlessly. The Blower motor for the heater works on all 3 speeds and the duct hosing is all brand new. Both vent doors on each kick panel are in excellent shape. Both of the side vent windows and both door windows work flawlessly as well and the door latches work too. The seat will need some attention but I have a new cover on it. It is the original seat and the slides work great. There are a couple of dents on the right door/front right fender but they are the kind that trucking guys of today like to have on them for that old patina'd, rough look. I did my best to put it all back to original spec if something needed replacing and I can assure you there are not many truck around that are in the condition of this one. I do not have to sell it so please do not message me with ridiculous offers. I know what I have and I know where the market is. Here is a list of the new items:

1. Have all new brake lines. A few have been installed.2. New master cylinder installed.3. New fuel pump.4. New alternator.5. New fuel tank and fuel lines. Still need to install a check valve at the tank to prevent drain back.6. Several new studs and lug nuts.7. 50% new brake components.8. New master cylinder.9. Have all the components to fully refurbish the window and door rubber/seals/felt. Passenger side done.10. All glass in great shape.11. Have both lower front fender patch panels. Have not changed them as some people like this rusted look.12. New battery
