1971 GMC Sierra 1500 Now Cheyenne Super Additional Info:
1971 Factory Short Fleetside. (Not cut!) Four Wheel Drive. Loaded with options: Bucket seats, Upper & lower moldings, Wood floor in bed. Factory A/C, Power Steering, Power disc brakes, Tilt wheel Factory tachometer, Vacuum gauge. This truck is a blast to drive and runs like a new one. Starts first time every time without any tricks. Just turn the key and go. Every light, gauge, knob, etc works as it did new. Runs straight down the road without all the 40 year old rattles and creeks. This is a no bolt left unturned restoration. The truck was born a loaded out GMC, but when the owner had it restored several years ago he decided that he liked the front ends on the Chevrolets much better and converted the front clip and body emblems to Chevy Cheyenne. I probably would have done the same. Especiallybefore all of the GMC front grilles were available new. This truck isn't perfect by no means but it's as nice as you could ever want it and still not be afraidto drive it wherever you wanted to go. Don't get me wrong. I have never driven this truck off road or in the rain, and by the looks of everything underneath, neither did the previous owner. The truck looks to be very solid and rust free. The truck was from, and restored in, Arizona. I see no signs of rust repair on the floors or anywhere else. I have driven this truck on the highway for hours at a time with no problem keeping up the the traffic, or with getting tired due to poor seat cushions. The seats are new foam and not just new covers. There are no disappointments or surpriseswith this truck. The only reason that I am selling it is to help purchase a house. I have this Pickup for sale locally as well and reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells. Please call if you have any questions. 682-323-4812 days or 972-268-4482 evenings and Sundays.
