1994 GMC Yukon SLE Additional Info:
Rare, GMC Yukon 6.5L Turbo DIESEL for sale. Runs great!! Daily driver for past two years. Garaged for previous eight. years as a2nd vehicle. Many new parts including transmission, hydro boost pump, fuel relay, AC and more. 4 wheel drive, Tires, brakes, floorboards and undercarriage are in good shape. Don't let the mileage be a concern. I really believe this engine has plenty of life left in it. The engine is based on the older model military humvee's. It's gotten some bad press in the past because many of the components were placed too close to the engine and burned out from heat exposure. People blamed the engine, not knowing it was the locations of components causing problems. All that has been fixed and relocated.
It does need some minor repairs - Turbo charger works but will need replacing in the future. Minor surface rust on roof, no pits or holes. The rear hatch window frame was bent from the pressure when glass was accidentally broken. The new glass was put on before realizing the frame was bent. As a result, there is a minor leak in the right, rear, cargo area. New frame, $200. Safelight will remove/reinstall glass for minimal charge.
Another issue is that the AC air intake is located right next to rain drainage hole, under the right side wiper blade. This is a design flaw by GM. The clearance on air intake is low. During heavy rain, it doesn't drain fast enough (not clogged) and can spill over into air intake, which then leaks inside and drips over AC fan and on to passenger side floor board. The The AC intake is an awkward shape and needs a proper cover that allows air and blocks water. This is why there is not any carpet. Carpet replacement is $200-300.
This truck will last a long time with minimalinvestment/repairs. I hate to sell and may change my mind..
