The GMC pickup lineup was well regarded and has always had a great following and a nice alternative to the Chevy brand. The ¾ ton trucks had much lower production numbers and therefore are even rarer today, adding value to the nice ones that have been well preserved. The truck market continues to be strong and finding clean ones are becoming harder to find and locate. This stunning GMC 2500 Custom is quite impressive in many ways. It is not... a stock vehicle but also not a trailer queen. It is however a very well sorted and well cared for truck that has some great cosmetics but also runs and drives very well. Vehicle was a southern vehicle according to previous owner and he believes he was the 3rd owner of the truck. Vehicle was nicely gone through about 8 years ago with some nice refinements and freshening up both on the interior and exterior as well as mechanically. Vehicle has new upholstered door panels, bench seat, carpet and dash pad. All lights work nicely and the gauges function properly as well as the aftermarket AutoGauge tachometer. Wipers function properly as well as the heater and the manual choke performs properly when the engine is cold. Vehicle has some nice upgrades such as the 16in polished American Racing wheels with newer tires mounted on them. New chrome bumpers were added as well as some new side badges and period correct steering wheel. According to previous owner the driveshafts were rebuilt in the past month and a new pinon seal was installed at that time. Vehicle does have the factory two-speed transfer case and a Dana 60 rear axle. Engine and transmission perform without a hiccup and the big 350 V8 has a Holly carburetor with an Edelbrock air intake/cleaner that provides great power and with the dual exhaust setup the truck sounds great idling or with your foot buried on the throttle. Vehicle is completed with dual camper mirrors, rubber cargo mat, sliding rear window, some new hoses on engine/radiator, fiberglass sun visor and sliding rear window. This truck is ready to be re-enlisted into the work site or used as a fun and enjoyable cruiser for the trails, beach or cruises. Quality trucks with good patina, well sorted and fun to drive are getting harder to find and this great truck will provide you with many fun adventures ahead.
