1974 Chevrolet C-10 Super Custom Additional Info:
Selling my 1974 GMC C1500 short bed pickup truck. This is the Super Custom model. This truck gets an amazing amount of compliments and thumbs up. Please note this is not a show truck. It is a very nice driver, not a trailer queen by any means. I drive it to work 3 days a week 60 miles round trip. It was meant to be driven and enjoyed.
Engine- Strong running 350 engine. Engine does not smoke or overheat, it runs very very well. Engine is tight. 4bbl Quadrajet carb, stock intake manifold, Hedman headers, dual turbo mufflers. The engine gas good power and is dialed in nice. The exhaust sounds excellent with a nice tone. One could drive this vehicle home without any problems. The truck does drip a little oil but nothing major just needs a gasket. Also the starter may need to be shimmed. Sometimes it makes a little noise when starting.
Transmission- T.H. 350 transmission with mild shift kit. The transmission shifts as it should. The transmission was rebuilt approx 10k miles ago. 12 bolt rear end non posi.
Interior- As you can see the interior is very clean. The original bench seat has been restored with new foam padding added. The carpeting and dash pad are only 1 year old and look perfect. The door panels, arm rests and sun visors are all nice and presentable. Overall the entire interior looks great.
Body/Paint- The body and paint look very nice. The body is black with a white top. The paint is a few years old and is nice driver quality. It has a base/clear 2 stage paint job. The paint job has plenty of clear and has been maintained. Please note the paint is not perfect. It is a driver. The paint has a few bumps and bruises, but overall looks nice and shiny. No dents or anything like that. The front windshield is brand new. The rear bumper is new and looks great.
Tires/Wheels- Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T 275 60 15s on the rear, with 235 60 15s on the front. The tires are pretty new with excellent tread. The tires only have around 3k miles on them. Classic 15 inch Rally wheels with new trim rings, wheel locks, and lug nuts.
Sound system- Kenwood Excelon CD player, Alpine 6x9s in the rear, Alpine 6.5s up front. The Alpine speakers are pushed by an Alpine amplifier. There is also a Rockford Fosgate 12 inch self amplified subwoofer in the rear. The rear subwoofer and box have a quick disconnect and can be easily removed at will. The sound system sounds extremely clear and crisp. The speakers and amps are only around 6 months old.
Suspension- The truck was lowered and has Belltech shocks all the way around. The truck rides extremely well and corners very nice and tight. This truck does not have a harsh ride like a lot of lowered vehicles. It is actually a comfortable and pleasurable ride. This GMC has power steering and front disc brakes. This truck has a nice stance, it sits right.
Overall this is a good honest truck that Is dependable and will get you where you need to go. This truck rides and drives very well.
