1957 GMC Other Additional Info:
This auction is for a 1957 GMC 100. This truck is a great daily driver. I drive it to work on side streets and freeway multiple times a month. The original motor is long gone and now has a Chevy 350 small block that runs great and a Turbo 400 transmission. It has a new aluminum radiator that I installed less than a year ago with an electric fan and does not overheat. I just had all of the drum brakes redone about 2 months ago and they work perfect. All headlights and turn signals work. It has bucket seats out of a late 2000's Silverado that have seatbelts built into the seat. I purchased the original radio for the truck and installed it in the dash, but it is not hooked up and functional. I also purchased an original rebuilt heater and bolted it into the truck, but have not hooked it up either. I have not tested the windshield wipers, but they are not hooked up and functioning. The speedometer works, but is off by about 15 to 20 mph (which I believe is probably caused by the different sized wheels, which are also from a Silverado. The tires have about 80% left on the tread. The fuel gauge works, but is wrong, so it either needs a new sending unit or needs to be calibrated, I'm really not sure. There is a newer odometer and gauge cluster that reads just over 1000 miles (which is not accurate to the milage of the motor). I'm unsure how many miles the motor has. There is very little rust. The rear bottoms of the cab have very small rust spots on them, and the bottoms of the doors have a few small rust holes as well. other than that the truck is very solid. I purchased the truck in Arizona a couple of years ago. I also have a set of original 15" steel rims that have been sandblasted and painted red that will go with the truck. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side where a rock has hit it. You can see this from the pictures I've posted. All other glass is good. I have registration in hand. It is registered in California and registration is current. The title is with my credit union so once the payment is received I will have to get the title from my credit union, which will not be a problem. Winning bidder will pay for shipping and set up all transportation for the vehicle. If you have any other questions please let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
